Settlers Uproot Dozens of Olive Trees near Hebron

12:00 Oct 3 2013 Yatta

Description
HEBRON, October 3, 2013 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers Thursday uprooted more than 40 newly planted olive trees in an area east of the town of Yatta, South of Hebron, according to a local activist.

The Popular Committee Coordinator in Yatta, Rateb al-Jabour, said that settlers from the illegal Israeli settlements of Susiya and Maon uprooted more than 40 newly planted olive trees belonging to one of the residents in the town.

This area is constantly targeted by settles living in the nearby settlements in an aim to force them to leave their land in order to seize it for the benefit of settlement expansion, he said.
