JENIN, August 19, 2013 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers Monday shot a 22-year-old with live ammunition in his leg amid clashes that erupted in the town of Jaba’ in Jenin, said security and local sources.
They told WAFA that clashes broke out between the residents and soldiers after raiding the town, injuring Shalash Hamamra and causing suffocation to others after inhaling tear gas.
Sources said that the soldiers raided houses as well and interrogated their residents.
Meanwhile, clashes broke out in Jenin refugee camp after soldiers surrounded homes of two residents amid shooting of live ammunition and gas bombs.
Clashes erupted also in the village of Silat al-Harithiya, but no arrests were reported.
