JENIN (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces raided the Bartaa al-Sharqiya village early Tuesday and detained a Palestinian, witnesses said.

Abed al-Wahab Hassan Qabha, in his 40s, was taken from the village, said youth activist Baha Qabha. He said soldiers also raided commercial shops and confiscated some of the goods.

Clashes broke out between Palestinians and Israeli forces. An Israeli soldier was lightly wounded during the clashes and was transferred to hospital via military ambulance.

An army spokeswoman said she was not familiar with the Jenin raid but confirmed one arrest in Hebron.
