Member of the Barta’a Ash-Sharqiyya Village Council, Tawfiq Qabha, told the Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA) that several Israeli military jeeps and bulldozers invaded the village after declaring it a closed military zone, and demolished the structures.

The army claimed that the structures “were built without a permit.”

WAFA said that, six months ago, the army issued demolish orders targeting 20 shops, and demolished 11 of them. A month ago, the army issued similar orders against eight more structures.

In related news, the army invaded Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, in occupied East Jerusalem, and demolished a car dealership shop that belongs to members of the Al-Joulani family in the city.

WAFA has reported that the army surrounded the store, removed 30 cars out of the shop, and demolished it.

The family said that their shop was built on two Dunams (0.49 Acers) of leased land, and that they never received any notices from the army or the city council.
