JENIN (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces detained a Palestinian man in the northern West Bank town of Arraba near Jenin after raiding his home before day break Tuesday, locals said.

A source told Ma’an that Israeli forces broke into the home of 23-year-old Fawzi Abu Salah in Arraba and took him to an unknown location.

Israeli troops also stormed home of Fawzi’s uncle Jaafar Abu Salah, a former prisoner and senior leader within the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. He was interrogated in his own home for an hour, the source added.

Separately, Israeli military vehicles stormed Deir Abu Daif village near Jenin and delivered summons to Murad Imad Yasin ordering that he meets with Israeli intelligence officers for interrogation.

The Israeli army confirmed the detention and said a special force had made the arrest.

Meanwhile, the army said 10 other detentions were made across the West Bank overnight. In the Ramallah and al-Bireh district, a total of six detentions were made, including one in Kharbat al-Misbah, one in al-Janiya, one in al-Tayba. One detention was made in the al-Khader village in the Bethlehem district, while three were made in the Jalazoun refugee camp.

Palestinian media sources have reported that Israeli soldiers kidnapped earlier on Tuesday at dawn [July 2 2013] thirteen Palestinians in different parts of the occupied West Bank. One of the kidnapped is elected Palestinian is legislator Mohammad Abu Teir.

Local sources in Doura town, south of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, have reported that the army kidnapped at least two Palestinians after breaking into their homes, and that one of them has been identified as Mousa Daraweesh.

Dozens of soldiers also invaded the Al-Jalazoun refugee camp, in the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and kidnapped four Palestinians identified as Talha Mustafa, 26, Abdul-Rahim Ghanem, 26, Shihada Dar Khalil, 23, and Ziad Al-Jamzawy, 26.

Army also invaded Al-Janiya village, west of Ramallah, and kidnapped Omran Mathloum, former leader of the Islamic Bloc at the Birzeit University.

Furthermore, soldiers invaded Awarta village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and kidnapped four Palestinians; three of them have been identified as Sami Rafat, Monadel Awwad and Morad Al-Qady.

Dozens of soldiers invaded Arraba town, south of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and kidnapped one resident identified as Fawzi Abdullah Abu Salah.

Earlier on Tuesday, the army invaded the home of legislator Mohammad Abu Teir, in Kufur Aqeb village, near Jerusalem, and kidnapped him. Abu Teir was repeatedly kidnapped by Israel, and spent more than 25 years in Israeli prisons.

Soldiers Invade West Bank Districts, Kidnap Palestinians

Israeli soldiers invaded on Tuesday at dawn [June 2 2013] various districts in the occupied West Bank, violently broke into and searched dozens of homes, and kidnapped several Palestinians.

Local sources in Arraba town, south of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, have reported that dozens of soldiers invaded the town, and kidnapped one resident identified as Fawzi Abdullah Abu Salah, 22.

Soldiers violently searched his home, and confiscated three computers; damage has been reported.

Furthermore, soldiers invaded the Al-Jalazoun refugee camp, north of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and kidnapped three Palestinians identified as Abdul-Rahim Ghannam, 26, Ziad Shihada Dar-Khalil, 23, and Talha Mustafa, 26.

Dozens of Israeli military jeeps also invaded Nablus, especially areas east of the city, fired concussion grenades, and gas bombs, and violently broke into homes causing damage.

In the Bethlehem district, soldiers invaded Beit Fajjar and the al-Khader towns, and handed two residents military warrants ordering them to head to the Etzion military and security base for interrogation.

Local sources have reported that the dozens of soldiers broke into the home of Sobhi Thawabta, and handed his son, Fadi, 21, an order to head to the Etzion base for interrogation. They also handed a similar order to Aws Majed Thawabta, 24, after breaking into his home.

Furthermore, resident Bilal Mahmoud Al-Wahsh, 19, from Al-Kader town, near Bethlehem, was stopped at roadblock #300, and was handed an order to head to Etzion base for interrogation. It is worth mentioning that three of his brothers are currently imprisoned by Israel.
