Description
JERUSALEM (Ma’an) – Israeli forces detained four young Palestinian men after storming their homes in al-Isawiya in East Jerusalem on Tuesday, a Ma'an reporter said.

He identified three of the detainees as Yahya Nasser Issa, Fadi Muhammad Mahmoud, 17, and Kamal Mustafa, 28.

Muhamad Abu al-Hummus, a member of a local committee in al-Isawiya, added that on Monday, Israeli forces detained five others from the village including minors. He said 47-year-old Ahmad Abu Uweis, his teenage son, and his nephew Muhammad Abu Uweis, 23, were detained in an evening raid. Earlier, he added, Israeli troops detained Muhammad Halayqa, 13, and Layth Darwish, 12.

Separately, Israeli police officers on Tuesday morning escorted Jerusalem municipality staff into al-Isawiya as they delivered demolition orders to several families under the pretext that their houses were built without a license.

According to Abu al-Hummus, municipal officers posted a demolition order on the door of Ali Hasan Ulayyan after taking photos of the house. After that, the officers moved to the village’s center and started to take photos and deliver demolition orders.
