JERUSALEM (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces on Thursday detained multiple Fatah leaders in Jerusalem, officials said.
Omar al-Shalabi, the secretary of the Fatah committee in Jerusalem, and Nidal Abu Gharbeyeh, who is Fatah secretary in al-Sawwanah, Wadi Joz and Sheikh Jarrah area were also detained.
Adnan Ghaith, Fatah secretary in Silwan, Abdul Salam al-Hidreh, Fatah secretary in al-Tur, Khaled Gharabli, Fatah secretary in Beit Hanina, Shuafat and Issawiya areas were detained. Also, Muna Barbar was detained.
The Fatah leaders were taken to an investigation center in Jerusalem, party officials said.
Dimitri Dalyani, a member of the Fatah revolutionary council, said that the party was used to Israeli violations and practices. He denounced the latest arrests.
An Israeli police spokesman said he was unaware of the arrests.

Thursday February 28, 2013, Israeli soldiers kidnapped several political leaders of the Fateh movement of President Mahmoud Abbas, in occupied East Jerusalem, and moved them to the Al-Maskobiyya detention and interrogation facility.
The Maan News Agency reported that the army kidnapped Omar Al-Shalaby, secretary of the leadership of Fateh movement in Jerusalem, Nidal Abu Gharbiyya, secretary of the movement in As-Suwwana, Wadi Al-Jouz and Sheikh Jarrah areas, Adnan Gheith, Fateh secretary in Silwan town, Abdul-Salaam Al-Hidra, Fateh secretary in Al-Tour, Khaled Al-Gharably, Fateh secretary in Beit Hanina, Shu’fat and Al-Eesawiyya, and Mona Barbar, a senior leader of the women branch of the movement.
Dimitri Diliani, member of the Revolutionary Council of the Fateh movement, denounced the arrests and said that the Israeli campaign against the movement, especially in occupied Jerusalem, will not deter the movement from its legitimate activities.
It is worth mentioning that the army kidnapped several Palestinians, earlier on Thursday, in different parts of the occupied West Bank.
