HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Monday demolished a residential trailer in the southern West Bank town of Idhna, west of Hebron.

Muhammad Badawi Tumeizi, whose family lives in the trailer, told a Palestinian monitoring group that Israeli soldiers and Civil Administration officials escorted a bulldozer to the Wadi al-Beer neighborhood for the demolition.

He said that his family of eight have been left homeless by the demolition.

The trailer, according to Tumeizi, was donated to the family by the international-activist group the International Solidarity Movement last year.

Israeli soldiers invaded, on Monday morning, an area west of Ithna Palestinian town, in the southern West Bank district of Hebron, and demolished a mobile home inhabited by a resident and his family.

The structure’s owner, Mohammad Badawi Tmeizy, told the Land Research Center that the army and members of the Civil Administration Office, run by the army in the occupied West Bank, invaded the area and sealed it before bulldozing his residential structure leaving his 8 family members in the cold.

Tmeizy added that the home was granted to the resident by the International Solidarity Foundation after Israeli soldiers demolished his home last year.

Approximately three weeks ago, Israeli soldiers invaded the Ath-Thaheriyya town, near Hebron, and demolished six Palestinian homes and structures.

According to data collected by the Israeli Committee Against Home Demolitions (ICAHD) and was published a few months ago, Israel’s demolition of Palestinian homes is a systematic policy that aims at forcing the Palestinians to leave Jerusalem in order to maintain a Jewish majority.

ICAHD estimates that Israel demolished at least 24.145 homes in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip since 1967.
