Silwan, Jerusalem (SILWANIC) —
Lawyer Ziad Ke’war has secured a 3 month freeze on the demolition order issued to Silwan resident Fatme Ja’afre. She was originally told by Israeli authorities that her and her son’s families must evacuate their homes by 2/12/12 so that it could be demolished. However, after local pressure and international condemnation from the Jordanian, Egyptian, Turkish and Norwegian embassies the demoition order has been delayed.
