Description
TUBAS, September 23, 2012 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Sunday confiscated cattle that belong to Palestinians of Ain al-Hilweh area, in al-Malih and Bedouins’ grazing fields in the Northern Jordan Valley, according to local sources.
Head of Tubas and the Northern Jordan Valley council Marwan Toubassi said in a statement that Israeli soldiers confiscated around 100 cows and transferred them to a military camp; in an attempt to drive Palestinians out of their land by cutting their source of living.
He pointed out that this is the second time soldiers seize cattle and impose huge fines on Palestinians to retrieve them.
Toubassi called on the international community to break the silence and adopt solid measures to protect the Palestinian people from the Israeli army and the settlers’ violations through pressuring the Israeli government to abide by international law.
