JORDAN VALLEY, March 12, 2012 (WAFA) – The Israeli military authorities in the West Bank Monday handed Palestinian farmers orders to demolish two ponds used for collecting rain water in the northern Jordan Valley, according to local sources.
Aref Daraghme, head of Al-Maleh village council, said Israeli soldiers ordered the village residents to demolish the ponds that benefit local farmers and shepherds by the end of the month.
Israeli authorities have recently issued and handed similar demolition notices of several houses in the northern Jordan Valley, which it tries to keep empty of Palestinians.
