Description
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli authorities have ordered the confiscation of agricultural land in a village near Bethlehem, residents said.
Land-owners from Nahalin village headed to the fields on Thursday, and found confiscation orders for 12 dunams, saying the land is considered Israeli state property.
The land is near Israeli settlement Beitar Illit.
Village council chief Osama Shakarneh told Ma'an the land is planted with grapes, almonds and olives, and villagers have land ownership documents for the area.
The council has appealed to the Palestinian Authority to halt the confiscation, he added.
