Description
HEBRON, August 7, 2012 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Tuesday closed down the road connecting between the Palestinian locales threatened to be demolished east of Yatta, near Hebron, and inspected homes and tents of the areas’ residents, said local sources.
The Popular Committee Coordinator in Yatta, Rateb Jabour, told WAFA that Israeli soldiers closed down the road connecting between two locales, set up a strict military checkpoint and thoroughly inspected homes of Palestinians.
He pointed out that large numbers of soldiers were spread out across the area, along with military helicopters hovering in the sky.
To be noted, Israeli Minister of Defense Ehud Barak approved the demolishing of eight locales south of Hebron on July 24 for military uses.
By implementing this decision, over 2000 Palestinians will be deported to Yatta and surrounding villages and over 45,000 Dunums of land will be confiscated; all approved by Israeli Supreme Court.
