A total of 17 Palestinians were arrested in different parts of the West Bank on Thursday and transferred to centres for interrogation.
In the city of Tubas in the northern part of the West Bank, soldiers raided several homes. In one incident, an eyewitness stated that soldiers raided the home of Hamada Mahmoud Abu Salah and stole NIS 9000 while the family were detained in a separate room
Elsewhere, Jamal Masalmani, 18 was arrested and taken to an unknown location after his father’s home was raided.
A military checkpoint was erected between the cities of al-Rama and Eja, south of Jenin, and several Palestinians were arrested.
There are currently more than 300 Palestinians being detained without charge in the occupied territories. There are also 185 Palestinian children in Israeli prisons.

RAMALLAH, July 11, 2012 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Wednesday arrested 14 Palestinians from the Qalqilya area in the north of the West Bank and the Hebron area in the south, according to local activists.
They said forces arrested nine people during a night raid at the Qalqilya area village of Azzoun, including three minors and two in their 40s.
Army units raided homes in Azzoun, ransacking them and arrested nine people.
In the city of Hebron, soldiers arrested a 20-year-old student studying at the Polytechnic College and two other people, one of them 50 years old.
Forces also raided the town of Sair, northeast of Hebron, and arrested one resident after searching several homes in the area.
Soldiers also arrested a former prisoner in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.
Sources said soldiers arrested Jalal Rai, 42, who had spent a total of 12 years in Israeli jails. They said Rai had recently a work accident that caused him a leg fracture, yet the soldiers took him away in spite of his injury.

8 held after Israeli raids in Hebron area
GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained five people Thursday from Beit Kahil and three others from Hebron, locals said.
In Beit Kahil, Israeli forces broke into homes and conducted searches. They detained Mahmoud Hammam Asafra, Safwat Ibrahim Asafra, Omar Khalil Asafra, Islam Issa Asafra, and Osama Issa Asafra.
In Hebron, soldiers arrested engineer Nadeem Abu Khalaf of the Al-Khobaraa center for human development and Firas al-Mujahid, a lecturer at Al-Quds Open University. They also detained engineer Izzat Abdul-Aziz al-Natsheh, who was had been released from Israeli detention two months earlier after starting a hunger strike.
The detainees were taken to an undisclosed location.

QALQILIYA (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces detained nine people Wednesday from the Azzun village east of Qalqiliya after raiding the area at dawn and searching people’s homes, locals said.
The detainees were identified as 16-year-olds Sinan Ahmad Radwan, Qussay Saleh Mashaal, Asaad Abdul Salam Hussain and Alaa Ghaleb Radwan as well as 17-year-old Hani Abdul Kareem Abu Haniye.
Muntaser Mujahed Radwan, 40, Fadi Zahran Salim, 28, Hamdallah Abdul Kareem Abu Haiye, 26, and Loay Sayel Hawari, 28, were also taken in the operation. They were all moved to an unknown destination.
