BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces arrested 18 Palestinians across the West Bank overnight Sunday, an Israeli army spokeswoman said.

Five people were detained in the Tulkarem area, four in Jericho, four in Hebron, three in Ramallah and two in the East Jerusalem village of al-Eizariya.

Locals identifiedd four of the men detained in Tulkarem as Muhammad Shaker, 19, Humam Naalou, 18, Hassan Abu Sheikha, 18, and Adham Sharqawi, 20.

A total of 3,312 Palestinians were arrested by Israeli authorities in 2011.

Since 1967, Israel has detained more than 750,000 Palestinians, including women and children, Palestinian Authority reports say.
