Israeli occupation forces launched a new wave of invasions across the occupied West Bank from Tuesday night into Wednesday, breaking into homes and conducting widespread field interrogations before abducting at least 130 Palestinians, among them two women, a child, and several former political prisoners, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has confirmed.

The PPS said the invasions were conducted across most West Bank governorates, with the heaviest concentration in Burin and Madama in Nablus in the northern West Bank, Aqqaba in Tubas in the northeastern West Bank, and Immatin in Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank. The majority of those seized were subjected to field interrogation before being released hours later.

The Prisoners’ Society noted that Israeli forces have sharply escalated both abductions and field interrogations since the beginning of the year, describing the surge as unprecedented in the period following the genocide in Gaza.

The organization said these operations target all segments of Palestinian society and amount to collective punishment.

According to the statement, Israeli forces have adopted a consistent pattern during these invasions: soldiers break into homes, force families outside in the cold, subject them to intimidation, threats, and field interrogations, and carry out extensive destruction inside the homes before abducting or detaining residents.

The PPS stressed that the current wave of violations is part of a long‑standing Israeli policy aimed at suppressing Palestinian presence and tightening systems of control and surveillance.

What has changed since the start of the genocide in October of 2023, it said, is the scale and intensity of the abuses, both those accompanying abductions and those inflicted on detainees inside prisons and military camps.

Israeli authorities continue to carry out daily abductions across the West Bank, which the PPS describes as one of the occupation’s most entrenched and systematic policies. Since October of 2023, Israeli forces have carried out more than 21,000 abductions in the West Bank alone.

Dozens Abducted in West Bank Military Invasions

Israeli forces carried out extensive invasions, home break‑ins, and abductions across multiple areas of the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, abducting dozens of Palestinians, wounding several others, amidst massive invasions, sieges, and violations.

Hebron in the southern West Bank:

Media sources reported that Israeli forces invaded multiple towns and neighborhoods across Hebron, broke into homes, assaulted residents, and abducted 12 Palestinians, including two women.

In Dura, south of Hebron, soldiers abducted Mohammad Aziz Amro and Bilal Hassan Salhoub.

In Beit Awwa, southwest of Hebron, they abducted Zaid Yousef Sweiti. In Yatta and its surrounding areas, forces abducted Widad Makhamra, Fatima Abu Arram, and Ismail Feyeq Nassar after severely beating them and ransacking their homes.

Inside Hebron city, Israeli forces abducted Ezzedine Gheith, Naji Mohammad Al‑Atrash, Musab Al‑Juneidi, and Qassem Mousa Ed‑Deek.

In Ethna, west of Hebron, soldiers abducted Shaher Yahia Abu Jheisha and Waddah Mohammad Rashid Abu Jheisha after invading their homes and damaging their belongings.

In the Al‑Fawwar refugee camp, south of Hebron, soldiers assaulted Dr. Malik Al‑Anati, his father Mohammad, and his university‑student son Wajdi during a home invasion, causing injuries that required hospitalization.

Forces also abducted former detainee Ismail Nassar and vandalized the home of Mohammad Abu Hashhash, the Fatah secretary in the refugee camp.

Israeli forces also broke into several homes in Hebron and Yatta, including the home of former detainee Hassan Ed‑Deek, and installed multiple military roadblocks at the entrances of Hebron’s towns, villages, and refugee camps.

The soldiers then closed several main and secondary streets with Iron Gates, concrete blocks, and earth mounds.

Bethlehem in the southern West Bank:

In Bethlehem, Israeli forces invaded the Saff Street area, broke into the home of Mohammad Naeem Abu Aahour, and abducted him.

Also, dozens of soldiers, accompanied by military bulldozers, invaded the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, after isolating it.

Occupied Jerusalem:

In Hizma, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces closed all town entrances for the second consecutive day, preventing residents from moving in or out.

The mayor of Hizma reported that soldiers invaded dozens of homes, turning several into temporary military posts.

During the invasions, the soldiers abducted a young man, Yousef Suleiman Askar, from his home in the town.

In addition, the soldiers invaded al-Isawiya town, northeast of Jerusalem, before storming and ransacking two homes, looking for Palestinian workers.

Furthermore, the Israeli occupation authorities issued orders barring three Palestinian residents of occupied Jerusalem from entering the Al‑Aqsa Mosque compound for extended periods.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the occupation authorities informed Abdul‑Rahman Oweis and Hamza Abu Hadwan, both from Shu’fat refugee camp, north of Jerusalem, that they are banned from entering Al‑Aqsa Mosque for four months.

A separate order was issued against Suhaib Affana from Sur Baher in southeastern occupied Jerusalem, banning him from the mosque for six months.

The measures are part of a continuing policy of expulsion and movement restrictions that target Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem and limit their ability to access Al‑Aqsa Mosque.

Occupation authorities have increasingly relied on these orders alongside home invasions, interrogations, and movement bans to pressure residents and restrict their presence in the Old City and its surroundings.

Jenin in the northern West Bank:

Israeli forces invaded the town of Qabatia, south of Jenin, at dawn, deploying troops throughout residential neighborhoods.

Soldiers fired concussion grenades in the streets while drones hovered overhead. No abductions were reported.

Nablus in the northern West Bank:

In Madama and Burin, south of Nablus, Israeli forces invaded both villages, broke into multiple homes, detained dozens of residents for field interrogations, and abducted several Palestinians.

Due to the military presence, the Directorate of Education in southern Nablus shifted all schools in Burin, Madama, and Asira Al‑Qibliya to remote learning for the day.

Tulkarem in the northwestern West Bank

In the northern neighborhood of Tulkarem city, Israeli forces shot Khader Mohammad Shehada and his sister Sadeel as they exited their home. Both were struck in the thigh.

Palestinian Red Crescent Society medics reported that when they attempted to reach the injured siblings behind Thabet Thabet Hospital, Israeli forces surrounded the area and blocked access.

Medics eventually evacuated the 19‑year‑old sister, while Israeli soldiers abducted her injured brother and took him to an undisclosed location.

The two are the children of Mohammad Shehada, a political leader of the Fateh movement in the Tulkarem refugee camp.

The assault comes amid Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Tulkarem and its two refugee camps, now in its 367th consecutive day.

Qalqilia in the northwestern West Bank:

In Immatin, east of Qalqilia, Israeli forces invaded the village, broke into several homes, and abducted 10 Palestinians:

Thabet Yousef Jom’a, Mohammad Munther, Hamza Ghanem, Mousa Barry, Ezz Barry, Zaid Barry, Mohammad Hussein Barry, Humam Ziad Sawan, Mo’in Obeid, and Huthaifah Khalil. Residents reported extensive property damage during the two‑hour invasion.

Tubas in the northeastern West Bank

In Aqaba, north of Tubas, Israeli forces conducted a large‑scale invasion at dawn, breaking into numerous homes and abducting 17 Palestinians, later releasing eight of them.

Jericho in the eastern West Bank

In the Aqabat Jabr refugee camp, south of Jericho, Israeli forces invaded the Al‑Ka’abna community, broke into homes, and abducted two community leaders, Omar Mohammad Baragha, the director of the Aqabat Jabr Youth Club, and Mazen Ali Mohammad Yousef Abu Al‑Assal, a member of the club’s administrative board.

During the invasion, the soldiers stormed and searched the surrounding areas before withdrawing.
