Israeli soldiers abducted, earlier Sunday, at least nine Palestinians during violent invasions and searches of homes across the occupied West Bank, including the occupied capital, Jerusalem. The soldiers also injured several Palestinians near Hebron.
In Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank, the army abducted two former political prisoners, Sofian Jamjoum and Ja’far Qawasmi, after the soldiers stormed their homes and violently searched them.
The soldiers also invaded Halhoul town north of Hebron, searched homes, and abducted Ali Mohammad Ali al-Hajj.
In related news, the soldiers caused many Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation during protests that took place after the soldiers closed the main gate of the al-‘Arroub refugee camp and invaded an adjacent neighborhood north of Hebron.
Several army jeeps also invaded ‘Aida refugee camp, north of Bethlehem, south of occupied Jerusalem, searched homes before abducting Issa Mohammad Zreina, 17, and Mohammad Ja’ara.
In addition, the soldiers abducted Mazen Ahmad Obeyyat and Omar Mousa Alauddin, both from Bethlehem, while crossing the Shavei Shomron military roadblock northwest of Nablus, in northern West Bank.
It is worth mentioning that the soldiers invaded the at-Tour town in occupied Jerusalem and searched several homes.
In occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers killed one Palestinian, Karim Jamal al-Qawasmi, 19, near the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
After killing the young man, dozens of Israeli soldiers, police, and intelligence officers invaded his home and ransacked the property before abducting his mother, and his brother Mohammad, in addition to summoning the father for interrogation.
