A group of illegal Israeli colonizers, on Tuesday afternoon, attacked and injured two Palestinians and burned several Palestinian vehicles and a factory, near the town of Beit Lid, east of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources reported that a group of colonizers invaded the industrial area known as “Al-Ladān” near Beit Lid, and carried out a large-scale attack against civilian and agricultural facilities.

The sources added that the colonizers hurled rocks at citizens, causing two Palestinians to suffer head injuries. The settlers burned several citizens’ vehicles, four trucks belonging to the “Al-Junaidi” dairy factory, causing damage to the factory, and also burned agricultural lands, tin rooms, and tents belonging to a Bedouin community in the area.

Following the attack, the army stormed the area and facilitated the settlers’ withdrawal, while chasing Palestinians who attempted to resist the assault.
Palestinian civil defense rushed to the scene to extinguish the fires, while ambulance crews treated the injured in the field.

In a press statement, the Governor of Tulkarem, Abdullah Kamil, called for a formation of guard committees from the Palestinian Authority following the large-scale attack against citizens and farmers near Beit Lid.

Kamil urged the international community and human rights organizations to put an end to settler violence against Palestinians and their properties in the occupied West Bank.

he Israel Police said Tuesday that its forces arrested four Israelis for their alleged involvement in a raid in which, according to the army, dozens of masked settlers attacked an industrial zone in the northern West Bank, wounding at least four Palestinians.

Videos of the raid in the Beit Lid industrial zone show settlers setting cars, fields and several buildings ablaze, including the Al Juneidi dairy factory, a major employer across the West Bank.

According to the IDF, after forces dispersed the assailants and conducted arrests, the masked settlers fled to the area of the Kedumim Industrial Zone, where they attacked Israeli soldiers and damaged an army vehicle. The detainees were later transferred to Israeli police custody.

Additional attacks were reported earlier on Tuesday in a Bedouin community and the nearby village of Deir Sharaf, to the east of Beit Lid. Videos show tents set alight as residents can be seen trying to contain the fire.

Israeli soldiers present on the scene prevented emergency services from assisting in dousing the flames, eyewitnesses said.

The military said in a statement on the incident that it "strongly condemns all forms of violence that distract commanders and soldiers from their operational duties of protecting the area and conducting counterterrorism activities."
