Updated: At dawn on Wednesday, Israeli soldiers invaded and ransacked dozens of homes throughout the occupied West Bank, interrogating scores of residents and abducting at least 67 Palestinians.
Media sources said that field abductions and interrogations were reported across multiple governorates. Israeli forces invaded numerous towns, stormed homes, and transformed private residences into military outposts and makeshift interrogation centers—a practice that remains ongoing at the time of reporting.
This escalation comes amid a marked surge in Israeli field abductions and interrogations, with at least 160 abduction cases recorded in the West Bank since the beginning of this week.
Observers note that Israeli forces have employed a consistent set of violent policies during invasions, including extrajudicial killings.
This was evident Tuesday night with the killing of Mo’taz Hamza Al-Hajajla, 21, from the village of Al-Walaja near Bethlehem. He was fatally shot during his abduction.
These large-scale abduction campaigns and field interrogations are part of the broader pattern of violations accompanying Israel’s ongoing genocide against Palestinians.
Abductions remain one of the most entrenched and systematic strategies employed to suppress and dismantle any emerging forms of resistance.
In Salfit, in the central West Bank, the soldiers stormed and violently searched numerous homes, causing property damage, and abducted 14 Palestinians, including journalist Khaled Amin Ma’ali. The other abducted individuals were identified as Husam Abdullah Shahin, Yasar Ahmad Shtayyeh, Nasser Rajab, Bilal Taysir Shahin, Abdul-Rahim Taysir Shahin, Abdul-Rahman Taysir Shahin, Rawdi Mazouz Yassin, Abdul-Rahman Ezzeddin Fattash, Mohammad Abdul-Rahman Ma’ali, Osama Abdul-Hadi Dawahqa, Wael Hasan, Wael Yassin, Hamza Emad Abu Zaher, and Sami Ali Abu Saher.
Salfit continues to face siege conditions amid ongoing Israeli military invasions and violations by soldiers and paramilitary colonizers. These include the illegal annexation of land, closures, the expansion of colonies, frequent abductions, and the destruction of homes and infrastructure.
In Ramallah, in the central West Bank, Israeli forces invaded the town of Birzeit, north of the city, stormed homes, and abducted five Palestinians. The detainees, all former political prisoners, were identified as Ahmad Deeb Saifi (35), Tawfiq Abu Arqoub, Omar Hosha, Wadea’ Sami Nasser (30), and Mohammad Khalil ‘Isawi.
It is worth noting that soldiers remained stationed in a home they had occupied on Tuesday in Birzeit, where they raised Israeli flags and the slogans of their military unit on the rooftop.
Further invasions targeted the village of Abu Qash, north of Ramallah, and Um ash-Sharayet neighborhood in Al-Biereh city, where soldiers fired tear gas canisters and concussion grenades.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces invaded Beit Anan town, northwest of the city, searched homes, and abducted a young man, Maher Ayed Rabea’. Troops also stormed the nearby towns of Al-Qubeiba and Biddu.
In Hebron, in the southern West Bank, the army abducted at least 16 Palestinians, including seven children, from several communities. Among those taken were Mohammad Yousef Burqan from Hebron city, Omar Muheisin from Al-Arroub refugee camp, and Bassem Mohammad Zohour, Amir Fadel Asafra, Azmi Musallam Azmi Mosallam Afara (14), and Taqiuddin Mohammad Asafra (14) from Beit Kahil, northwest of Hebron.
From Yatta town, soldiers abducted Jibraeel Al-‘Amour, along with five children: Marwan Morad Hamdan, Omar Raed Tbeish, Moayyad Mohammad Tbeish, Mohammad Hasan Tbeish, and Wadea Hatem Hantash. In Doura town, southwest of Hebron, the army abducted Younes Al-Fasfous and elderly pediatrician Abdul-Rahim Nammoura.
In Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, soldiers invaded and ransacked several homes before abducting two high school students, Ali Safi Sleibi and Hamed Mohammad Awad.
Troops also installed numerous roadblocks on main roads leading to Hebron city, surrounding towns, villages, and refugee camps, placing concrete blocks and earth mounds at key intersections to restrict movement.
In Jenin, in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces invaded Burqin town, west of the city, fired live ammunition, and stormed homes. Many young Palestinians were interrogated during ID inspections.
In Qalqilia, also in the northern West Bank, soldiers invaded several neighborhoods—including Kafr Saba, Naqqar, Jaljulia, and an-Nafaq—abducting at least ten Palestinians. The detainees were identified as Hashem Shreim, Mahdi Jaber, Mujahed Nofal, Aref Nofal, Islam Qashwa’, Yousef Al-Baaz, Anwar Al-Aqra’, Wael Khalifa, Ghassan Jibril, and Ezz Salmi. Infrastructure damage was also reported.
In Azzoun town, east of Qalqilia, soldiers distributed leaflets threatening further invasions and the destruction of property.
In Tulkarem, in the northwestern West Bank, the soldiers carried out a large-scale abduction campaign targeting civilians in the northern West Bank city of Tulkarem, with several former prisoners among those abducted.
Israeli troops stormed the towns of Saida and Illar, conducting extensive search operations across streets and residential neighborhoods. Dozens of homes were raided, searched, and turned into military outposts and makeshift interrogation centers. Many residents were subjected to field interrogations, detention, and abduction. The invasions were ongoing at the time of reporting.
From Saida, the following individuals were identified among the abductees; Shadi Fares Al-Ashqar; former prisoners Sharif Suleiman Raddad, Radwan Hasan Al-Ashqar, and Zaid Maher Al-Ashqar, in addition to Mansour Tahlheesh, Mahmoud Abdul-Ghani, and former political prisoner and journalist Hatem Hamdan.
In Illar, those abducted included: Amin Kaid Ja’ar, Islam Jeebat, Amin Al-Taher, Shaheer Mamdouh Shadid, Eyad Kharouf, Nader Kharouf, high school student Hajjaj Samir Abu Hofeitha, Mahmoud Qa’adan Majadba, Ahmad Ja’ar, Samer Muwafaq Abu Hafitha, Nidal Mashal, Fares Ali, Moataz Qashwa’, and Mujahid Sheikh Murad.
