Dr. Marwan al-Sultan, director of the Indonesian Hospital, reports that Israeli forces are actively targeting the facility and have placed it under siege, leaving approximately 55 people trapped inside.
In related news, Israeli forces have surrounded the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, firing at anyone moving near the facility.
Drones have reportedly targeted the intensive care unit, injuring two patients as they attempted to leave the hospital.
Israeli forces have ramped up their systematic campaign against hospitals, seeking to render them inoperable.
Medical officials have urgently called for international intervention to safeguard medical teams and patients amid the escalating crisis.
At Al-Awda Hospital in Tel al-Zaatar, Jabalia in northern Gaza, conditions are similarly deteriorating, with access to care heavily disrupted.
Meanwhile, the Kuwait Specialized Field Hospital in Khan Younis has suspended surgical operations due to extensive damage caused by Israeli bombardment. The strikes disabled generators and the main electrical control panel, severely impacting hospital functions.
Additionally, Israeli forces bombed a tent sheltering displaced families in the Sawarha area, south of Al-Nuseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza, killing and wounding many Palestinians, including children.
Days earlier, the Gaza European Hospital, also in Khan Younis, was forced to shut down following repeated Israeli attacks. This facility was the last hospital providing cancer treatment in Gaza after the destruction of the Turkish Friendship Hospital, leaving cancer patients without vital medical care.
The World Health Organization has warned that over 10,000 patients, including 4,500 children, urgently require medical evacuation.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli army has killed at least 53,339 Palestinians and wounded 121,034, largely children, women and elderly, in addition to more than more than 11,000 missing, largely under the rubble, and hundreds of thousands displaced.
It is worth mentioning that the Government Media Office has updated the death toll in Gaza to over 61,700, including thousands previously listed as missing under the rubble who are now presumed dead.
