The sister of the Israeli woman murdered in the West Bank yesterday by a Palestinian confronted settler leader Yossi Dagan, demanding he stop exploiting her sister’s death to incite revenge and the killing of Palestinians: “Don’t speak of murder and revenge. I want love for my sister. I want to honor my sister with dignity.”
At the stage Yossi Dagan shamelessly asked: “why the village of murderers, Bruqin (the Palestinian village close to the site of the terror attack), is still standing?”
Effectively calling for the destruction and mass killing of an entire Palestinian village simply because the terrorist attack happened nearby.
May Tzeela Gez’s memory be a blessing—not a call for revenge or more death. Her sister’s courage in rejecting hate and calling for love in the face of grief is a powerful act of moral clarity.
