On Thursday, marking the 24th day since the resumption of genocide in the besieged Gaza Strip, the Israeli army continued its bombing and shelling across various parts of the coastal enclave, resulting in numerous casualties among Palestinians.
Media sources reported fatalities and injuries when the army targeted tents housing displaced families in Khan Younis, located in the southern region of Gaza.
Among the victims were two members of the Al-Abadla family, who were killed, and several others injured when the army struck a tent west of Al-Qarara town near Khan Younis.
Palestinian medics also recovered the body of Mahmoud Sharab, a young man, outside his home in the Qizan Najjar area after a missile strike.
Additionally, three members of the Abu Lebda family were killed, and several residents sustained injuries when the army shelled a tent in the Mawasi Khan Younis area.
Medical sources confirmed that Saleh Ramadan Shbair succumbed to severe injuries sustained during an earlier bombing in Khan Younis, which had already claimed numerous lives and left many wounded.
In central Gaza, a shell targeted a tent housing displaced Palestinians northwest of Zahra City, killing one person and injuring several others.
In Gaza City, a missile strike on a home belonging to the Abu Amsha family resulted in the deaths of thirty individuals and injuries to at least fifty others. Rescue teams continue to search through the rubble despite limited resources.
Further casualties were reported in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, where five members of the Abu Ghneima family were killed, and several others injured following a missile strike near the Tareq Ben Ziad Mosque.
Another bombing near Al-Mahatta Mosque in the Tuffah neighborhood claimed one life and caused multiple injuries.
The Palestinian Health Ministry stated that 36 bodies and 41 injured individuals were transported to medical centers, while rescue operations under the rubble are ongoing.
Since March 18, 2025, the Israeli army has reportedly killed at least 1,500 Palestinians and injured over 3,688, including children, women, and the elderly.
Israel has now killed at least 50,864 Palestinians, including more than 12,365 women and 17,954 children, in addition to approximately 11,000 who remain missing, largely under the rubble of bombarded homes and buildings, in addition to wounding more than 115,729 Palestinians, mostly children, women and elderly.
