On Monday at dawn, Israeli soldiers launched a series of invasions across the occupied West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, storming and ransacking dozens of homes and abducting dozens of Palestinians. The soldiers also caused damage to a Palestinian vehicle during the raids.
In Qalqilia, located in the northern West Bank, the soldiers stormed several homes and abducted seven Palestinians: Qusai Miskawi, Fares Odah, Wisam Nassoura, Obada Qotash, and three siblings—Sajed, Ismael, and Ghassan Jibril.
In Hebron, in the southern West Bank, the soldiers abducted Hamza Mohammad Qawamsa from Hebron city and a child, Yousef Mohammad Al-Emla, from Beit Ola town, northwest of Hebron, after raiding and ransacking their families’ homes.
In Nablus, in the northern West Bank, the soldiers abducted one Palestinian and vandalized a car by smashing its windshield and windows.
They invaded homes, causing significant damage. Media sources reported that
the soldiers entered the western area of the city via the Sarra military roadblock and the eastern area through the Beit Furik roadblock.
In the al-Makhfiyya area of Nablus, the soldiers attacked a car, smashed its windows, stormed homes, and abducted Fuad Darwish.
They also invaded the Balata refugee camp, east of Nablus, breaking into and violently searching homes. Explosions were reported in the refugee camp’s neighborhoods and alleys.
Additionally, the soldiers invaded a residential building in the Rafidia neighborhood, west of Nablus, interrogating many Palestinians and inspecting their ID cards.
In Ramallah, in the central West Bank, the soldiers invaded the Al-Jalazone refugee camp, north of the city, and the Al-Am’ari refugee camp, south of Nablus.
They stormed and searched homes, abducting four Palestinians: Yousef Monther Elian, 25, Yousef Ghawanma, Qassam Eyad Dweik, and Abdullah Mubarak.
Media sources reported that the soldiers detonated the front doors of many homes in Al-Jalazone before storming the properties.
They also transformed the home of Tayseer Zubeidi into a military post, interrogating numerous young men.
In Al-Am’ari refugee camp, dozens of soldiers closed its entrances before storming and violently searched homes.
In related news, dozens of soldiers invaded the Qalandia refugee camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, searching homes and abducting two young men.
It is worth noting that a nationwide strike swept across the Palestinian territories on Monday, protesting the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza and demanding an immediate end to the massacres, including the targeting of civilians’ homes, hospitals, and shelters.
The strike, organized by national and Islamic factions in the northern governorates, coincided with a global movement advocating for a worldwide general strike to demand an end to the genocide in Gaza and to express solidarity with the Palestinian people.
The strike brought daily life to a standstill: universities, schools, banks, shops, and governmental and non-governmental institutions were all shut down.
Public transportation in the northern governorates also came to a halt, leaving streets empty of vehicles and pedestrians.
Factories and workshops closed their doors as part of the collective action. Activists on social media also launched global calls for a general strike to show solidarity with the people of Gaza in the face of the genocide perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces.
