The Israeli military offensive on the city of Jenin and its refugee camp in the northern part of the occupied West Bank has entered its 43rd consecutive day, resulting in 28 deaths and dozens of injuries.
The Israeli army has expanded its offensive to include the eastern neighborhood of Jenin. Early this morning, undercover Israeli soldiers stormed the Al-Ghoul building in the neighborhood, shot Jihad Alawna (23), and prevented his transfer after he was injured, leading to his death.
The army also abducted Dirgham Al-Saadi from his home in the eastern neighborhood. Military reinforcements, accompanied by bulldozers, began destroying several streets, including School Street, Sweitat Street, Haddad Village, and Nazareth Street.
Israeli soldiers closed Jenin-Nablus Street and the southern entrance to the city, with military vehicles stationed at Asfour Roundabout.
In the eastern neighborhood, soldiers forced residents to evacuate their homes using loudspeakers, particularly in the Saadiya neighborhood and the Al-Ghoul building.
The soldiers searched homes in the Khaled Bin Al-Walid and Halima Al-Saadiya areas, amidst the presence of armored vehicles.
Furthermore, the Israeli forces caused power blackouts in parts of the city due to the destruction of infrastructure by bulldozers.
The army continued to block all entrances to the Jenin refugee camp with earth mounds, preventing residents from reaching their homes. Israeli military bulldozers and vehicles were stationed around the refugee camp, with reinforcements deployed at all entrances.
So far, approximately 20,000 residents of the Jenin refugee camp have been displaced, spreading across 39 towns and localities. The army is systematically altering the camp’s landscape, with 120 homes destroyed and dozens partially damaged.
Israeli forces conducted 336 raids, subjecting residents to field interrogations, while drones carried out around 15 airstrikes. The army is preventing local and international press crews from entering the camp to document the destruction and report on its actions against residents.
