On Monday, the Israeli military assassinated two Palestinian young men and injured four others in the Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank. The army stormed the city of Tulkarem and the Tulkarem refugee camp, shot two young men and abducted two others.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced the death of the two young men, Ramez Bassam Damiri, 24, and Ihab Mohammad Attawi, 23, as a result of an Israeli drone strike which targeted their vehicle.
The Ministry added that four citizens suffered mild to moderate injuries as a result of the Israeli drone strike on a vehicle at the entrance to the Nur Shams camp; they were all transported to the Martyr Dr. Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarem.
Shortly afterwards, a large army force invaded the city of Tulkarem from its western and southern entrances, while patrolling the main streets, and besieging the Tulkarem camp.
Media sources said that occupation vehicles were positioned in front of the Martyr Dr. Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital and the Israa Specialized Hospital in the city, while soldiers stopped and searched ambulances, and interrogated their crews.
Sources added that an undercover Israeli unit infiltrated the Al-Rabaia neighborhood in the Tulkarem camp, deploying sharpshooters on tall residential buildings, while reconnaissance drones hovered overhead.
Meanwhile, the army invaded the Shweika suburb, and the towns of Anabta and Far’un, and deployed infantry units in the streets, and abducted two young men.
Media sources later reported that Israeli forces shot a Palestinian citizen in the Tulkarem refugee camp, while more military reinforcements were pushed towards Tulkarem city.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that occupation soldiers shot a young man in the thigh with live ammunition; he was transported to the Martyr Dr. Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in the city.
Media sources said that two young men, identified as Imran Abu Ahmad and Raed Adwan, were abducted by occupation forces in the Shuweika suburb, north of the city, and the town of Far’un, to the south.
Sources added that military reinforcements arrived to the Al-Hadaida and Al-Rabaia neighborhoods in Tulkarem camp, while deploying many snipers in tall residential buildings.
The army invaded dozens of citizens’ homes in the Thanaba, and Shweika suburbs, in addition to the towns of Anabta and Far’un, and continued their siege on the Martyr Dr. Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital and the Israa Specialized Hospital.
Furthermore, occupation soldiers shot another Palestinian young man, on Monday evening, in Tulkarem city, while Israeli bulldozers destroyed infrastructure and citizens’ property in Tulkarem city and the Tulkarem camp.
The PRCS reported that Israeli forces shot a 24-year-old man in the leg with live rounds in the city of Tulkarem, while soldiers detained the ambulance crew, delaying his transport to hospital.
Media sources said that occupation bulldozers destroyed the infrastructure in the center of the city, including the main water network, sidewalks, and the entrances to shops.
Several citizens’ vehicles were destroyed by D-9 military bulldozers in the city and at the the entrance to the Martyr Dr. Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, while the army carried out sabotaged the infrastructure in the Al-Muqata’a neighborhood in the Tulkarem refugee camp.
