Media sources said that six Palestinian citizens, including a child and three brothers, were killed when an occupation drone fired three missiles at the gathering of citizens in the Jenin refugee camp.
In a statement, the Israeli military announced that the assassination operation was a joint effort by the occupation army and the Shin Bet, Israel’s intelligence agency.
In response to the Israeli attack on the Jenin refugee camp, Brigadier General Anwar Rajab, the spokesman for the Palestinian Security Forces, said that despite the efforts of its security forces to maintain security and order, the army proceeded to bomb the Jenin camp with missiles.
Rajab added that the army’s blatant and pre-planned attack was intended to disrupt every national endeavor that contributes to protecting our people.

The Israeli military confirmed an IAF strike in the area Tuesday, and on Wednesday the Israel Defense Forces and the Shin Bet security service announced another attack in Jenin.
These were the first IDF strikes on Jenin since the Palestinian security forces launched an operation there in mid-December.
The Palestinian Health Ministry named the dead as Mahmoud Ashraf Mustafa Gharbiyeh, 15; Hussam Hassan Qanouh, 34; Ibrahim Mustafa Qaneiry, 23; and brothers Amir, Mo'men and Bahaa Abu al-Hayja, ages 27, 28 and 33.
Sources in Jenin told Haaretz that the strike and its results have intensified the protest in the city and public calls to the Palestinian Authority to end its own operation in the camp. They said some residents claim Israel is using the Palestinian security forces to strike gunmen in the camp.
The Palestinian Authority has not formally announced a halt to the operation, but has expressed great dissatisfaction about the developments.
Palestinian security forces spokesman Anwar Rajab condemned Tuesday's strike, calling it a deliberate attempt to thwart efforts to maintain security and order."
He said it reflected Israel's intention of "disrupting every national initiative aimed at defending the Palestinian people" and condemned the strike's timing – at a time when he said that the security forces were showing "flexibility toward the initiative presented by local parties in the city to deal with the crisis."
In mid-December, the Palestinian security forces announced the launch of an operation to arrest gunmen in the Jenin refugee camp in an attempt to restore the Palestinian Authority's control of it.
