Israeli forces withdrew from the northern West Bank city of Jenin and the Jenin refugee camp, on Friday at dawn, after ten days of siege and destruction against the city.
Media sources said that after ten days of attacking the city of Jenin and its refugee camp, leaving massive destruction and death in its wake.
Over the course of the ten days, Israeli forces killed 21 citizens in the governorate, injured dozens of others, and caused extensive destruction to infrastructure.
According to the Palestinian Civil Defense, during the course of the ten days, the Israeli army destroyed at least 25 kilometers of the streets in Jenin and the Jenin camp.
In a statement, the Palestinian Civil Defense announced that the extensive destruction of infrastructure included streets, in addition to vital water, electricity, and sewage networks.
The statement added, “It is difficult to limit the damage to the city and its camp now, and this requires more time, as the occupation has partially destroyed homes, shops, and streets.”
On August 28 the Israeli army carried out a large-scale invasion into Jenin and the Jenin refugee camp, the city of Tulkarem and the Tulkarem refugee camp, and the city of Tubas and the Al-Far’a camp, causing varying degrees of destruction.
In related news, Israeli forces injured five Palestinian young men after assaulting them at the Al-Jalamah military roadblock, north of Jenin, late Thursday night.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that their ambulance crews transported five young men to hospital after occupation forces severely assaulted them at the Al-Jalamah military roadblock.
