On Tuesday dawn, Israeli soldiers invaded several areas in the Hebron governorate, in the occupied West Bank’s southern part, stormed and ransacked dozens of homes, causing damage, and abducted at least twenty-three Palestinians.
Media activist, Mohammad Awad from the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, stated that many military vehicles invaded the town, before the soldiers broke into many homes, and ransacked them, before abducting twelve Palestinians, including siblings, a father and his son.
Awad said the soldiers abducted Ahmad Abu Mariya, 57, Mohammad Abu Mariya, 53, Awni Al-Alami, 45, and his son Mohammad, 18, Mustafa Abu Mariya, 22, and his brother Ayham, 18, Mohammad Jihad Sabarna, 22, Nabil Abdul Majid Arar, 23, Yousef Na’im Yousef Za’aqeeq, 22, Amro Za’aqeeq, 22, Abdullah Za’aqeeq, 21, and Mo’men Sleibi, 18.
Among the dozens of invaded homes was that of Salah Ibrahim Za’aqeeq, who was held along with his family in one room, while the soldiers ransack the property, damaging furniture and electrical appliances.
Additionally, Israeli soldiers abducted Bial Hawamda, Hussein Issa Khalaila, Shaheed Mousa Khalaila and his brothers Ahmad, Bara, and ‘Aroua Nawaf Al-Za’arir, Mohammad Thieb Hawamda, Issa Jamal Abu Seif, Bara Ahmad Al-Badarin, Bahaa Suleiman Al-Mahareeq, and Mohammad Mustafa Hawamda from the town of As-Samu, south of Hebron.
In addition, the soldiers invaded Beit Kahil town, west of Hebron, and confiscated two Palestinian cars before withdrawing.
Israeli soldiers also set up several military roadblocks at the entrances to Hebron and its towns, villages, and camps, and closed several main and secondary roads with iron gates, concrete blocks, and earth mounds.
