On Tuesday at dawn, Israeli occupation forces abducted 11 Palestinian citizens from Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate in the occupied West Bank’s central part and renewed military orders closing the office of the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees. The soldiers also detained many Palestinians in a village near Ramallah and interrogated them in a home the army occupied.

Media sources in Ramallah stated that the soldiers stormed and ransacked several homes in the village of Deir Ibzi’, west of Ramallah, before abducting Qusai Ala At-Tawil, 17, Abdullah Akram Ibrahim, 19, Murad Kamel At-Tawil, 26, and Ahmad Othman Yacoub Othman, 19.

The sources added that Israeli soldiers abducted Mohammad Hassan Froukh, 27, from his home in the town of Betunia, Abdul-Hakim Mohammad Abu Adi, 40, Ahmad Hassan Mohammad Abu Adi, 32, Jihad Mohammad Hassan Abu Adi, 28, Abed Zaher Anas Abdo, 20, Hussein Saed Hussein Abdo, 20, and Qussai Riyad Ahmad Ataya, 20, from the village of Kafr Ni’ma, west of Ramallah.

In addition, the Israeli army renewed the military order closing the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees office in Al-Bireh city after storming and searching its headquarters.

In August 2022, Israeli occupation soldiers shut down seven human rights and civil society organizations: Ad-Dameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, Defense for Children International – Palestine, Al-Haq Human Rights Organization, the Palestinian Union of Agricultural Work Committees, the Palestinian Union of Health Work Committees, the Palestinian Women’s Union, and Bisan Center for Research and Development, in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate.
