Israeli forces abducted, at dawn Tuesday, at least nine Palestinians, including three women, a journalist, and a child, in the central West Bank governorate of Ramallah and Al-Biereh. Among the abductees is the wife of PFLP political leader, political prisoner, Ahmad Sa’adat.
Media sources said that occupation forces stormed several areas in the governorate, invaded many citizens’ homes, and carried out a wide-scale abduction campaign.
Sources said that soldiers abducted a woman, Abla Sa’adat, after storming her home in Al-Biereh.
She is the wife of the political prisoner, Ahmad Sa’adat, the Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).
It is worth mentioning that, on December 25, 2008, an Israeli military court sentenced Ahmad Sa’adat to 30 years in prison for what it called “heading an illegal organization”.
Also in Al-Biereh, Israeli forces invaded and searched the home of the Birzeit University student, Duaa Al-Qadi, before abducting her.
West of the city, occupation soldiers abducted the journalist, Qutaiba Omar Hamdan, after storming his home in the town of Beitunia.
Also in Beitunia, Israeli forces abducted the woman, Tahrir Badran Jaber, after invading her home in the town.
Soldiers abducted the child, Rami Faeq Ishtia, 17, from the town of Kafr Ni’ma, west of Ramallah, and the young man, Amjad Kanaan Hamed, from the village of Beitin, east of the city.
Meanwhile, before dawn on Tuesday, Israeli forces stormed the town of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah, toured the streets with their military vehicles.
The invading army abducted three unidentified young men and confiscated their privately owned vehicles.
