On Monday, paramilitary illegal Israeli colonizers, accompanied by soldiers, attacked students and staff at the Arab al-Ka’abna Elementary School in the Arab al-Ka’abna Bedouin community, in the al-Mo’arrajat area, northwest of Jericho in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank, injuring at least seven Palestinians, in addition to assaulting an elderly man near the school.

Local sources reported that the colonizers invaded the Arab al-Ka’abna Bedouin community in the al-Mo’arrajat area and assaulted an elderly man.

They added that the paramilitary colonizers stormed the Arab al-Ka’abna Elementary School, assaulting several students and teachers before detaining them.

Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) medics treated seven Palestinians, including children and teachers, for wounds before taking them to a hospital in Jericho, and treated many children for anxiety attacks.

Hassan Mleihat, the General Supervisor of the Al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, told the Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA) that the colonizers assaulted the students and teachers, detained them in the school, in addition to tying up the school’s principal.

Mleihat called on all international and local humanitarian organizations to intervene immediately in the emergency situation in the Arab al-Ka’abna School in the Arab al-Mleihat Bedouin community, as the situation has reached an unprecedented level of danger and escalation.

Arab Al-Ka’abna is one of many communities in Jericho, that is subject to constant violations by the soldiers and the paramilitary Israeli colonizers.

Last Friday, Israeli colonizers carried out many attacks against Palestinian citizens and their property, poisoning sheep near Jericho, in addition to uprooting olive trees and demolishing an agricultural room near Jenin, in the northeastern and northern parts of the occupied West Bank.

On Thursday evening, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers attacked Palestinian homes southeast of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.

The colonizers also attacked and injured two Palestinian farmers on their lands in Atouf village, east of Tammoun, south of Tubas in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.

Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, and various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
