Thursday marks day 300 of Israel’s ongoing assault on the entire civilian population of the Gaza Strip (2.24 million people), and the Israeli assault continued without cease.
Medical sources announced Thursday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 39,480 killed, and 91,128 wounded since October 7, 2023. A report from the British journal The Lancet estimated the toll is likely much higher – with direct and indirect deaths attributed to the Israeli invasion and air attacks, the Lancet estimated upwards of 180,000 Palestinians have been killed since October. Thousands of victims are still under the rubble and on the streets, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them.
In Gaza on Thursday, Israeli occupation forces committed two massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the killing of 35 Palestinian civilians and the injury of 55 others during the past 24 hours.
In central Gaza, Israeli forces bombed al-Ishrin Street in al-Nuseirat refugee camp, killing four Palestinians on Thursday afternoon.
Earlier on Thursday in the same area, at least one Palestinian was killed and others were injured in three Israeli air strikes that targeted a house, causing it to catch fire north of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Israeli forces, since Tuesday, have been issuing orders for the civilian population in parts of Nuseirat to flee. People are in the streets asking where are they supposed to go?
Israeli order telling people to evacuate:
These evacuation orders do not tell people where to go that is safe, and many families have been huddling in the streets, wondering where to go that they will not be bombed by Israeli forces.
Also in central Gaza before dawn on Thursday, Israeli forces dropped a bomb on a civilian vehicle near the entrance to Al-Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip, killing eight Palestinians and wounding a number of others.
Medical sources reported that 8 citizens were killed and others were injured after the Israeli occupation forces bombed a civilian vehicle near the entrance to Al-Maghazi camp.
The Israeli occupation artillery fired shells at Palestinian citizens’ homes east of Al-Maghazi, causing excessive damage and an unknown number of casualties.
In Gaza City, a civilian was killed and several others were injured, as a result of the Israeli occupation bombing of a number of Palestinians in the vicinity of Kuwait Roundabout, south of the city.
The Israeli occupation’s Apache helicopters fired at several locations west of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip, while the Israeli occupation’s vehicles fired bullets towards the eastern areas of Al-Maghazi and Al-Masdar camps in the central Gaza Strip.
In a related context, a correspondent with the Palestinian Wafa news agency reported that the Israeli occupation released 15 detainees through the “Kissovim” military checkpoint, and they were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip. All were suffering the effects of malnutrition, injuries from having been tortured, and emaciation.
Earlier on Wednesday evening, journalists Ismail al-Ghoul and Rami al-Rifi were killed in a direct attack by Israeli aircraft in Gaza City. Video clips showed the destroyed car of the two journalists, with smoke rising from it and blood scattered on its remains, after it was targeted in the al-Shati refugee camp in the center of the city.
On Thursday, a mass funeral was held for a number of victims of the Israeli bombing at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip.
Despite the massive number of civilian casualties, and the destruction and flattening of the infrastructure of the entire Gaza Strip, including every university, nearly every hospital, schools, businesses, shopping malls, children’s playgrounds, water treatment facilities, electric generation facilities, solar plants and restaurants, Israeli leadership has vowed to continue their assault on the Gaza Strip, while refusing to engage in any of the efforts for a diplomatic resolution.
