On Thursday dawn, Israeli soldiers invaded Jenin, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, bulldozed streets, shot a young man, and abducted three young men and one woman to pressure her son to surrender.
Media sources said the soldiers invaded the Al-Jabriyyat neighborhood, leading to protests, and fired live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs.
The sources added that the soldiers shot a young man with a live round and prevented Palestinian medics from reaching him.
The soldiers assaulted many medics and attacked ambulances while the military bulldozers destroyed infrastructure and property, including street vendors stands, in Nazareth Street, Haifa Street, around the UNRWA School, the Al-Jabriyyat and Zahra’ streets, the Al-Jalbouni junction, Wadi Burqin, and the local vegetable market in Abu Bakr Street.
Besides the excessive damage to infrastructure and property, the Israeli attacks caused a power blackout in the area, while the soldiers also invaded the Turkish Mosque in the Al-Jabriyyat neighborhood.
During the invasion, an Israeli military drone fired a missile at a motorcycle in the Al-Jabriyyat neighborhood.
The soldiers stormed and ransacked many homes and abducted Ibtisam Saleh Turkman to pressure her son, Mustafa, into surrendering to them, and abducted two young men, Amir Mohammad Abu Hijab, and Ahmad Ataba.
The soldiers imposed a siege on the Jenin refugee camp, and prevented the Palestinians, including medics and journalists, from entering or leaving it.
In addition, the soldiers invaded Ya’bad town, west of Jenin, searched homes, and abducted a young man, Saddam Abu Rmeila.
