On Tuesday, the Israeli army invaded Nur Shams and Tulkarem city in the northwestern part of the occupied West Bank before bulldozing and destroying streets and infrastructure, including electricity and water lines.
Media sources said many military vehicles, including armored bulldozers, invaded Tulkarem and Nur Shams refugee camps and imposed a curfew, forcing the entire population under house arrest.
They added that the military bulldozers destroyed streets, water lines, electricity networks, and even a water reservoir.
The bulldozers destroyed many main streets, including one near the Salam Mosque and the neighborhoods of the schools and Rabay’a, in addition to the destruction caused to the main floors of homes and stores in the Al-Marba’a and the Balawna neighborhoods.
The soldiers also stormed and ransacked many homes in the schools’ neighborhood and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards, in addition to deploying sharpshooters on rooftops and windows.
The army invaded Tulkarem from various directions before heading to the refugee camp, in addition to disrupting internet and cellphone services.
In addition, the army demolished a cellphone store at the main entrance of the refugee camp and prevented Palestinian medics and ambulances from entering it.
The invasions and the destruction led to protests lasting for more than eight hours while the soldiers fired barrages of live rounds at alleys, neighborhoods, and homes.
