On Friday dawn, Israeli soldiers invaded the ‘Aida refugee camp north of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, fatally shot a teenage boy, and abducted several Palestinians from the refugee camp and nearby towns.
Media sources said dozens of soldiers invaded the refugee camp before storming and ransacking many homes and occupying their rooftops to use as firing posts, leading to protests.
They added that the soldiers shot Mohammad Ali Aziyya, 17, with a live round in the chest while in his home.
Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) medics rushed to the refugee camp, but the army prevented them from entering it.
The soldiers then moved the child to the entrance of the refugee camp while he was bleeding profusely before taking him away and later announcing his death.
During the invasion, the soldiers abducted a young woman, Hanin Al-Masa’eed, in addition to Mohammad Ayman Al-Ghoushi, Sami Hammad, and Mahmoud Mohammad Hammad, from their homes.
Also, two young men, Hamza Abdul-Aziz Abu Srour and Abdullah Ali Hammad, turned themselves in to the army after the soldiers detained their siblings to pressure them into surrendering.
In the Deheishe refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, the soldiers stormed and ransacked several homes and abducted Anas Yasser Shamrookh, Bassel Arafa, Abed Arafa, Ali Arafa, Tareq Arafa, Yousef Sadouq and Dr. Walid Hazem Fararja.
In Al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem, the soldiers abducted Shadi Ibrahim Da’amsa, while Baha’ Sabateen was abducted from his home in Husan town, west of Bethlehem, after many soldiers attacked and injured him.
Early Friday dawn, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the death of Laith Mohammad Bakir Nasasra, 21, whom Israeli soldiers shot in Beit Furik town, east of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank’s northern part, bringing the number of slain Palestinians in the West Bank for 19 in 24 hours.
On Thursday, Israeli soldiers killed fourteen Palestinians and injured twenty others, including some in critical condition, in the city of Jenin and its refugee camp in the occupied West Bank’s northern part.
The identities of the 14 slain Palestinians, are as follows:
