On Thursday, illegal paramilitary Israeli colonizers invaded Palestinian land in Kafr Ed-Deek town, west of the central West Bank city of Salfit, uprooted many trees, and destroyed property.
Mansour Ali Ahmad, a local farmer from Kafr Ed-Deel, said the colonizers damaged a gate leading to his land and cut the fence before cutting many olive and almond trees.
He added that the colonizer brought their livestock to graze on his land and destroyed his stored construction materials and gravel.
Mansour stated that his land, eight Dunams, is in the western area of the town, where the colonizers frequently attack and chase farmers and shepherds and are constantly attempting to occupy the lands to install illegal outposts.
In related news, Israeli soldiers closed the iron gate at the road, near Qarawat Bani Hassan town, leading to villages, west of Salfit, preventing the Palestinians from crossing.
Israel’s colonies in the occupied West Bank, including those in and around occupied East Jerusalem, are illegal under International Law, the Fourth Geneva Convention, and various United Nations and Security Council resolutions. They also constitute war crimes under International Law.
Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory.”
