On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers invaded the Wad Qaddoum neighborhood in Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied capital, Jerusalem, and demolished a residential building that housed 50 Palestinians.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center In Silwan (Silwanic) said the demolished building, owned by Nassar Husseini and his family, after surrounding and isolating the entire area.
Silwanic added that the army alleges that the building was constructed without a permit; the first demolition order was issued in 2018, and the family has since been fighting it in court.
The wife of Emad Al-Husseini and one of the tenants said the building was constructed 40 years ago and added that her husband and his brothers bought it seventeen years ago.
She added that the building was 90 meters and that the family added apartments before the first demolition order was issued, and the destruction was delayed several times while the family fought the legal battles to keep their building, sheltering 50 Palestinians.
She lived with her retired husband and their eight children in a small apartment with one bedroom, a living room, that was also used as a bedroom, and a bathroom.
