Updated: On Thursday and Wednesday evening, Israeli soldiers abducted ten Palestinians on various military roadblocks and continued Jericho city’s strict siege and closure in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank. The army also abducted two Palestinian near Ramallah and one in northern Gaza.
Eid Barahma, the head of the Jericho office of the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS), said the soldiers abducted Mohammad Bassam Hmeidat, 20, Saed Hosni Ayyoush, 31, Mohammad Ali Awwad, 34, Mohammad Hasan Balhan, and Ghaleb Hussein Zibin, 36, from Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, and Shams Eddin Abu Al-Haseen, from Ein Al-Sultan refugee camp, in Jericho.
Barahma added that the soldiers abducted Abdullah Al-Haj Mohammad from the Al-Mughayyir village northeast of the central West Bank city of Ramallah and Ahmad Kathem Al-Fino from Nablus in the northern West Bank.
The Israeli military continued the strict siege on Jericho for the sixth day, installed more military roadblocks around the city and the governorate, stopped and searched dozens of cars, and interrogated the Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.
In related news, the soldiers invaded Kharbatha Bani Harith village, west of Ramallah, searched homes, and abducted two young men, Bilal Ahmad Hammoud and Hamza Abdul-Rahim Sheikh.
Several army jeeps also invaded Tayasir village, east of Tubas in the northeastern West Bank, and withdrew a few hours later.
Also, the army abducted a young man after he reportedly crossed the perimeter fence in the northern part of the besieged Gaza Strip.
