On Saturday, Israeli occupation forces engaged in their daily invasion of Palestinian land throughout the West Bank, injuring a child and abducting several Palestinians after ransacking their homes.

These invasions are a daily occurrence in the West Bank, one of the two Occupied Palestinian Territories that are ruled by the Israeli military. All Palestinian residents of the West Bank (including Jerusalem) live under Israeli martial law, and have no legal rights.

During an invasion of Al-Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, Israeli forces shot a 12-year old boy with live ammunition. The child, Amir Mohammad Al-Bass (12 years old), was hit with two bullets in his lower extremities. He lay on the ground, not moving, until the Israeli troops abducted him.

The Palestinian Prisoners Society said that the Israeli occupation forces transferred the wounded child to Shaare Zedek, an Israeli hospital.

The Prisoners Society added that the Israeli occupation forces had provided no details about the child’s health condition, saying only that he was injured in his foot.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society sent an ambulance to try to bring the child to the Palestinian hospital, but the Israeli soldiers refused to allow them access to the patient.

The Israeli occupation forces closed the main entrance to the Al-Aroub camp. The Israeli occupation forces closed the iron gate at the main entrance to Al-Arroub camp, prevented Palestinian residents from moving around, confiscated and searched a number of vehicles, and checked their identities.

In another invasion on Saturday, Israeli forces stormed the village of Yatma, south of Nablus.

The head of the village council, Ahmed Sanobar, told the Palestinian Wafa News Agency that the Israeli troops invaded the village and raided the home of Ismail Ibrahim Najjar, and detained his brother Youssef.

During the invasion, Palestinian youth came out of their homes in the village and threw stones at the Israeli armored vehicles. Israeli soldiers fired tear gas canisters at the Palestinians, without any injuries reported.

In the Jerusalem area, Israeli occupation forces set up a military checkpoint near the village of Mikhmas, northeast of Jerusalem.

Local sources told the Palestinian Wafa News Agency that the Israeli occupation soldiers set up a military checkpoint near the village of Mikhmas, and checked Palestinians’ identities and searched their vehicles, which impeded their movement.

The Israeli occupation forces seized the vehicle of the father of the Jerusalemite prisoner, Muhammad Farahat, who was sentenced to 12 years in prison, from the town of Silwan, while he was passing the Zaim military checkpoint, east of occupied Jerusalem.

The occupation forces also abducted the young Jerusalemite Noureddine Dweik while he was passing through the Qalandia military checkpoint, north of occupied Jerusalem, and the occupation court extended his detention until next Wednesday.

In the northern West Bank, the Israeli occupation forces pursued dozens of Palestinian workers near the apartheid wall, west of Jenin. Local sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces launched a massive campaign for workers in the village of Rummana, located near the apartheid wall, when they tried to enter their workplaces in the land that is now Israel, and seized a number of vehicles.

The occupation forces intensified their military presence and set up their checkpoints around the villages and towns of south, southwest and northeast of Jenin, especially: Ya`bad, Arraba, Rummana, Taanak, Zabuba, Al-Jalama, Faqu`a, and Arbouna.

The occupation forces abducted a Palestinian from the town of Qabatiya, and stormed villages and towns in Jenin governorate.

Security and local sources told Wafa that the Israeli occupation forces arrested the father of the deceased Mahmoud Omar Kamil, who was killed by Israel and whose body has been held for two years, after they raided and searched his house.

The same sources added that the occupation forces stormed the towns of al-Zababdeh, Masliyeh, al-Jalama and Arbouna, which led to clashes, without any reports of injuries or arrests.
