On Wednesday evening, the Palestinian Health Ministry said Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian man in Deir Dibwan town, east of Ramallah, in the central part of the occupied West Bank. The army also shot and seriously injured a young man in Kafr Ein village northwest of Ramallah.

The Health Ministry said the General Authority of Civil Affairs informed it that the soldiers killed Mojahed Mahmoud Hamed, 32, from Silwad town, east of Ramallah.

It added that the soldiers chased the young man, opened fire at him, and took him to an unknown destination before the Israeli side later informed the General Authority of Civil Affairs that the young man had died from his wounds.

The Health Ministry added that the army initially refused to allow the transfer of the corpse of the slain young man to the Palestinians, but later all handed his body to a Palestinian ambulance before he was moved to Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah.

The Israeli occupation army claimed the soldiers “neutralized a suspect who opened fire at their military post from a speeding car.”

The army alleged that the soldiers “pursued the car and fired at the suspect who was driving while firing at the soldiers” and that the army initiated a search campaign “looking for more suspects” and added that no soldiers were injured in the incident.

The soldiers also invaded Kafr Ein village, northwest of Ramallah, leading to protests, before shooting a young man with several live rounds in the chest, pelvis, and thigh; his wounds have been described as moderate-to-severe.

On Tuesday dawn, December 5th, the soldiers killed Omar Yousef Manna’ Fararja, 22, shot six others, and abducted three, including his brother, in the Deheishe refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.

On Friday, December 2nd, the soldiers killed Ammar Hamdi Mifleh, 22, in Huwwara town, south of Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

On Thursday, December 1st, the soldiers killed two Palestinians, Na’im Jamal Zubeidi, 27, and Mohammad Ayman Sa’adi, 26, in Jenin, in the northern part of the West Bank.

IDF Kills Palestinian Man Who Shot at Israeli Army Post in West Bank

According to the IDF, the man was killed in a shootout with soldiers after firing at a military outpost near the settlement of Ofra in the West Bank

A Palestinian man was shot and killed by IDF forces on Wednesday near Ramallah in the West Bank after firing at an Israeli military outpost from a moving vehicle.

The man was named as 32-year-old Mujahed Mahmoud Hamed by the Palestinian Health Ministry. He was a resident of the town Silwad, and was killed near his home.

Hamed was a former prisoner who spent 11 years in Israeli jails, Palestinian sources say.

The IDF said that the man committed a shooting attack from a moving vehicle, targeting an Israeli military outpost near the Ofra settlement in the West Bank.

According to the army, IDF soldiers fired back and began chasing the vehicle, when the driver exited the car and fired at them. The soldiers then shot and killed the man.

The IDF says the man is suspected of taking part in several attacks over the last few days.

On Tuesday night, shots were fired at an Israeli vehicle, near the West Bank settlement of Carmel, near Hebron. No one was injured. The army suspects the shots were fired from an Airsoft air rifle. The army added that an IDF officer was in the vehicle at the time of the shooting and Israeli forces are searching for the suspects in the surrounding area.

Around the same time, also near Carmel, a 19-year-old Israeli was injured when rocks were thrown at his vehicle. He was taken to Sorokoa Medical Center in Be'er Sheva, and treated for wounds to his arms and limbs. The IDF arrested 8 Palestinians overnight on suspicion of terrorist activity in the West Bank.
