On Wednesday evening, Israeli soldiers killed a young Palestinian man and injured at least six, including three who suffered serious wounds, during protests that took place after many army jeeps invaded Ya’bad town, southwest of Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources said at least thirty military vehicles, including armored bulldozers, invaded the town before the soldiers stormed homes and occupied their rooftops to use them as firing posts and started to demolish a home.

The sources added that dozens of Palestinians protested the invasion and hurled stones at the soldiers who fired a barrage of live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said the soldiers shot Bilal Awad Kabaha, 24, with live rounds in the chest and thigh.

It added that the young man was rushed to Jenin governmental hospital in critical condition but died from his wounds.

The Health Ministry stated that the army shot six Palestinians with live rounds, including three who suffered life-threatening wounds after being shot in the neck, face, and abdomen.

During the invasion, the army fired many gas bombs at homes and buildings, causing many Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The invasion was conducted to demolish the home of Dia’ Hamarsha, 27, who was killed by an Israeli police officer, on March 30, 2022, after allegedly shooting to death five Israelis in a suburb of Tel Aviv.

Earlier Wednesday, the soldiers killed a Palestinian woman, Ghofran Haroun Warasna, 31, at the entrance of the al-‘Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Also Wednesday, the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said a young man, Yasser Atiya al-Masri, 41, from Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, died from serious wounds he suffered during the Israeli offensive on Gaza on May of last year, 2021.

The Palestinian was receiving treatment in Egypt when he succumbed to his serious wounds.

Israeli Army Detonates A Palestinian Home Near Jenin

After an invasion lasting for about twelve hours, Israeli soldiers detonated, at dawn Thursday, a Palestinian home in Ya’bad town, southwest of the northern West Bank city of Jenin.

Media sources said more than thirty armored military vehicles invaded the town after surrounding and isolating it.

They added that the soldiers invaded and occupied the rooftops of many homes and deployed sharpshooters before Israeli Combat Engineering Corps personnel started wiring the family home of Dia’ Hamarsha, 27.

The soldiers forced the family out of the property and ordered all Palestinians in surrounding homes to leave the area, and demolished parts of Hamarsha’s home before detonating it.

The explosions also caused damage to a few surrounding homes before the army started firing live rounds at Palestinians who protested the attack.

Protests also took place after the army demolished the home, and the soldiers fired many live rounds at the Palestinians before withdrawing from the town.

Dia’ Hamarsha was killed by an Israeli police officer, on March 30, 2022, after allegedly shooting to death five Israelis in a suburb of Tel Aviv.

The home demolition policy is an illegal act of collective punishment that violates International Law, various international resolutions, and the Fourth Geneva Convention, to which Israel is a signatory and a constant violator.

Shortly after the army invaded the town to demolish the home, the soldiers killed a young man, Bilal Awad Kabaha, 24, and injured six others, including three who suffered serious wounds.

Man Killed by Israeli Fire During Jenin Home Demolition, Palestinian Health Ministry Says

A Palestinian man was killed Wednesday by Israeli fire, the Palestinian Health Ministry said, as Israeli forces were executing a demolition order against a Palestinian who shot and killed five people in the Tel Aviv suburb of Bnei Brak in March.

Both the Palestinian Health Ministry and Red Crescent said Bilal Awad Qabha was hit by live fire in Ya'abad, in the Jenin area, as was another person critically wounded. The Red Crescent added a third person was in moderate condition.

Qabha was taken to hospital in Jenin, where he was pronounced dead.

The Israeli military said its forces were there, without immediately providing further details, and it was unclear why the soldiers fired at the Palestinians.

Diaa Hamarsheh, who was shot dead during his shooting spree, had previously served two and a half years in prison in Israel after offering to carry out a suicide attack for Islamic Jihad.

A wave of terror attacks hit Israel in March, April, and early May, leaving a total of 19 people killed. Since then, the Israeli military has conducted almost daily counter-terrorist operations in the West Bank.

The military operations, which have focused largely on Jenin and nearby villages, have left over 30 Palestinians killed, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

Some were gunmen killed in fighting with Israel, while others were shot while allegedly throwing stones or firebombs at Israeli troops in the West Bank.
