Description
Israeli soldiers abducted at least twenty-three Palestinians Wednesday at dawn during invasions and violent searches of homes across the occupied West Bank.

Update: The soldiers abducted, Wednesday afternoon, a young man from the al-Arroub refugee camp north of Hebron after stopping him at the Etzion military roadblock.

In Ramallah, in the central West Bank, the soldiers abducted a former political prisoner and a student of Birzeit University, Mohammad Majed Hasan, from his home in the Ein Misbah neighborhood.

Also, undercover Israeli soldiers infiltrated Beit Rima town, northwest of the city, before breaking into the home of former political prisoner Saddam Saher Barghouthi, 30, and abducting him.

In Deir Abu Mashal village, west of Ramallah, the soldiers invaded and searched a few homes and abducted Ali Mustafa Ata and Yousef Nasser Ata.

In Bethlehem, south of occupied Jerusalem in the West Bank, the soldiers abducted Hussein Atef Obeyyat, Tareq Mousa Obeyyat, 37, Mohammad Shweiki, and Ayatollah Mohammad Shehada, 22, after storming their homes and ransacking them.

Hussein’s father, Atef Obeyyat, was a leader of the Al-Aqsa Brigades, the armed wing of the Fateh movement who was assassinated by Israel in October 2002, less than two days after the army assassinated his cousin Mohammad Eshteiwy Obeyyat.

The soldiers also abducted Hani Mazen Za’oul from his home in Husan village, west of Bethlehem.

In Nablus, in the northern part of the West Bank, the soldiers invaded the Balata refugee camp east of the city, searched homes, and abducted Mahmoud Mohammad Sanaqra and his nephew Omar Jamal Sheikh Khalil.

In related news, Palestinian fighters fired several live rounds at the illegal Israeli colonialist outpost on Sbeih Mountain, in Beita town, south of Nablus.

In Jenin, in the northern West Bank, dozens of soldiers invaded Ya’bad and Be’er Al-Basha, stormed and ransacked dozens of homes, and abducted six young men.

The abducted Palestinians are Rabea’ Luay, Mohammad Rafe’ Abu Bakr, Yazan Ahmad Hamarsha, Mahdi Bilal Hamarsha, and former political prisoner Adnan Yassin Hamarsha, from Ya’bad town, southwest of Jenin, in addition to former political prisoner Qadri Ghawadra, from Be’er al-Basha, south of Jenin.

The soldiers also invaded the family home of Dia’ Hamarsha, 26, who was killed Tuesday after killing five Israelis in a shooting in Bnei Brak, a suburb of Tel Aviv, and took measurements of the property for later demotion, an act of collective punishment that violates International Law.

The soldiers ransacked the property during the invasion, causing excessive damage, and interrogated the family for a few hours.

Protests took place during the invasion of Ya’bad, before the soldiers also stormed several buildings and posted sharpshooters on their rooftops.

In addition, several army jeeps invaded Kufur Qaddoum village, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, searched homes, and abducted Khaled Morad Eshteiwi, 16, Tareq Hikmat Eshteiwi, 17, Majdi Majed Jom’a, 17, and Awad Mansour Obeid, 17.

In occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers abducted Ahmad Abu Roumi from his home in the al-Isawiya town, northeast of the city.

The soldiers also invaded Anata town, northeast of the city, before storming and violently searching several homes.
