Israeli soldiers abducted, on Thursday at dawn, at least nineteen Palestinians, mostly former political detainees who spent years in prison, from their homes in several parts of the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported.

The PPS said the soldiers invaded and violently searched dozens of homes, causing property damage, and assaulted several Palestinians.

The PPS office in Jenin governorate, in northern West Bank, said the soldiers abducted six Palestinians, including four former political prisoners.

It identified them as Abdul-Rahman Abu Khader, Ghassan Adnan al-Atrash, Miqdad Ahmad Nawahda, Yahia Turkman, Mohammad ‘Awni ‘Obeid and Mohammad Mahmoud Azzam.

Furthermore, the soldiers invaded and ransacked homes in the al-‘Isawiya town, in occupied Jerusalem, and abducted seven Palestinians, including a father and two of his sons.

They have been identified as Tha’er Abed Mahmoud, his sons Mohammad and Abdul-Rahman, in addition to Adham Sabta, Mohammad Amin Khallaf, Mohammad Abed Atiyya and Nassim Amjad Mohsin.

In Nablus, in northern West Bank, the soldiers abducted Omar Wadea’ Qar’an, ‘Atef Abu Thabet and Ahmad Mahmoud Qatrawi.

In Qalqilia, in northern West Bank, the soldiers abducted a former political prisoner, identified as Ekrima Abu Elba.

In Hebron, in southern West Bank, the soldiers abducted two former political prisoners, identified as former legislator Azzam Salhab, and Mohammad Mahmoud Ghneimat.
