RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) has renewed the administrative detention of Dr. Mahmoud Al-Ramahi, secretary of the Palestinian legislative council (PLC).

Human rights sources told Quds Press that the military court in Ofer passed the renewal ruling on Sunday against Ramahi for the fourth time running.

They said that another hearing would be held within the few coming days to endorse the new four-month administrative custody, without trial or charge, of MP Ramahi.

Ramahi was arrested on 10/11/2010 and has remained in administrative custody since then. He was released from earlier Israeli custody in March 2009 after two and a half years’ incarceration.
