BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least seven Palestinians from across the occupied West Bank, on predawn Thursday.
Israeli forces detained one Palestinian identified as Muhammad Atef Banat, 21, from the Dheisheh refugee camp in the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, while at the Container checkpoint.
Locals reported that Israeli forces detained two Palestinians from Hebron, in the southern West Bank, they were identified as Majdi Muhammad Rasras, 22, and Yazid Abu Rmeileh.
Israeli forces also assaulted Abu Rmeileh’s younger brother who was with him in the Old City of Hebron during his detention.
In Nablus City in the northern West Bank, locals reported that Israeli forces raided the Balata refugee camp and detained one youth identified as Muhammad Ahmad Saoudi, and Ahmad Abed al-Hadi Hamadneh from the Assira al-Shamaliya town.
Israeli forces interrogated several Palestinians in Nablus.
In the Tulkarem refugee camp, in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces detained Musaab Adnan al-Husari and Haitham Nour al-Din Bleidi, after raiding and searching their family homes.
According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,554 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons.
