RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 22 Palestinians, including a minor, in the occupied West Bank, on predawn Wednesday.
Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) confirmed that Israeli forces detained four Palestinians in the southern West Bank district of Hebron. They were identified as Issa Imad al-Titi, 14, Khaled Badran Juwabra, Maher al-Atrash, and Atef Ali Rubaa.
In the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, two Palestinians were detained and identified as Rami Abu Shaira and Qasi Issa.
In the central West Bank district of Ramallah, three Palestinians were detained by Israeli forces. PPS identified them as Mahmoud Kheir Khatib, 18, Usama Feras al-Tamimi, 18, and Walid Nassar Ahmad Nassar, 18.
In the same district, in the Qalandiya refugee camp, one Palestinian was detained and identified as Thaer Khaled Matir.
In the central West Bank district of Jericho, Israeli forces detained two Palestinians. They were identified as Imad Ali Abyyat and his brother, Taleb Abyyat.
In the northern West Bank district of Tulkarem, one Palestinian was detained and identified by PPS as Muaman Ruslan Arid.
In the northern West Bank district of Qalqiliya, three Palestinians were detained. They were identified as Muhammad Wadah Anaya, Yasser Nofel, and Wael Abtali.
In the northern West Bank district of Salfit, Israeli forces detained another four Palestinians. PPS identified them as Aziz Fatash, Hussam Harb, Saed Marei, kamal Harb.
In the northern West Bank district of Tubas, two Palestinians were detained. They were identified as Salah al-Din Daraghmeh and Rami Ayman Sharida.
Israeli raids into Palestinian towns and villages are near daily occurrence in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,554 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons, of whom 230 are child prisoners and 31 are under the age of 16 years.
