RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 17 Palestinians, including a minor, particularly across the northern occupied West Bank, during predawn raids on Tuesday.
According to Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS), Israeli forces detained two Palestinians in the central West Bank district of Jerusalem; they were identified as Muhammad Hussein Askar and Tahrir Kafah Askar.
In the northern West Bank district of Qalqiliya, Israeli forces detained a 16-year-old Palestinian, who was identified as Adham Hussein.
In the northern West Bank district of Tubas, two Palestinians were detained; they were identified as Hazem Fawzi Fayiz Amer and Muhammad Mahmoud Daraghmeh.
In the northern West Bank district of Tulkarem, another two Palestinians were detained; PPS identified them as Majed Zeidan Naawla and Omran Husni Abu Ahmad.
In the northern West Bank district of Nablus, Israeli forces detained two Palestinians, who were identified as Samer Maaruf and Abdullah Fuad Mahmoud.
In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, eight Palestinians were detained, PPS identified them as Qadri Abed al-Jawar Khanfar, Salah Abed al-Hamid Abu Diak, Ihab Abed al-Manaam Rahal, Ahmad Walid Abu Diak, Adam Fawaz Khaled Hantouli, Fawwaz Khalid Hantouli, Tareq Raed Asba and Hassan Ziad Hantouli.
According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,640 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons, of whom 270 are child prisoners, of whom 50 are under the age of 16 years.

Israeli Soldiers Abduct Sixteen Palestinians In West Bank

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported that Israeli soldiers abducted, on Tuesday at dawn, at least sixteen Palestinians from their homes, in several parts of the occupied West Bank.
The Israeli army said the Palestinians were taken prisoner for their participation in ongoing protests in the occupied West Bank.
Eight of the abducted Palestinians were taken prisoner from their homes in Sielet ath-Thaher town, south of Jenin, in northern West Bank. One of them is the secretary of Fateh movement in Jenin Qadri Abdul-Jawad Khanfar.
The soldiers invaded and ransacked dozens of homes, including the home of Sielet ath-Thaher Mayor, As’ad Hantouli.
