Description
HEBRON (Ma'an) -- The Israeli authorities leveled 33 dunams of land, uprooted some 550 trees in western Beit Ula in the southern West Bank district of Hebron.
Owner of the leveled lands, Suleiman al-Adam, told Ma'an that Israeli bulldozers razed 20 dunams of his lands and uprooted 350 fruit trees, pointing out that this is the 3rd time that Israel razes his lands and uproots trees.
He added that Israel also leveled and razed lands next ti his, belonging to Hijazi Abed al-Rahim al-Turshan.
Israeli forces leveled 13 dunams of al-Turshan's lands and uprooted 200 olive trees.
Palestinian communities are routinely subjected to restrictions of their freedom of movement, including the declaration of closed military zones and arbitrary road closures by Israeli military forces for purported "security reasons," acts which rights groups have denounced as amounting to collective punishment.
