RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained nine Palestinians, including former prisoners, during predawn raids on Wednesday across the occupied West Bank.
According to Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS), Israeli forces detained one Palestinian in the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem; he was identified as former prisoner, Mazen Muhammad Abu Khader.
In the central West Bank district of Jerusalem, one Palestinian was detained and identified as former prisoner Muhammad al-Hilou.
In the central West Bank district of Ramallah, four Palestinians were detained and identified as Othman Muhammad Othman, and former prisoners Haitham Siyaj, Hassan Karajeh and Said al-Idrisi.
In the central West Bank district of Jericho, PPS confirmed that three Jerusalemites were detained; they were identified as Muntaser Said Ghaith, Youssef Imad al-Shamali and Suleiman Muhammad Bata.
According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,781 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons.

sraeli soldiers abducted, on Tuesday at dawn, four young Palestinian men, and summoned three others for interrogation, during extensive and violent military invasions, in the occupied West Bank.
The soldiers abducted a young man, identified as Mohammad al-Hilo, from Hizma town, east of Jerusalem, after stopping him near al-Khan al-Ahmar Bedouin community, facing Israeli demolition and displacement.
Furthermore, the soldiers invaded Safa village, west of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, searched several homes and abducted Hasan Karaja, 33, Haitham Siyaj and Saif al-Idrisi.
It is worth mentioning that Karaja is a former political prisoner who was abducted and imprisoned by the army three times.
In addition, the soldiers invaded Beit Sahour city, east of Bethlehem, and summoned Rafat Shomali, a member of the local City Council, for interrogation in Etzion military base, north of Bethlehem, after violently searching his home.
The soldiers also invaded Teqoua’ town, south of Bethlehem, searched homes and summoned Nour Mahmoud al-Amour, and his brother Mahmoud, for interrogation in Etzion.
