BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces carried out predawn raids across the occupied West Bank and detained at least 11 Palestinians, including a woman, on Sunday.
According to local sources, in the central West Bank district of Jerusalem, Israeli forces detained seven Palestinians.
They were identified as a teacher, Hanadi al-Halawani, 40, Muhammad al-Dabagh, Maamun al-Razzam, Amro Abu Orfeh, Rohi al-Kalghasi, Jihad Kaws, and Saed Sayel.
Sources added that throughout the rest of the West Bank, Israeli forces detained another four Palestinians during predawn raids.
The identities of the four detainees remain unknown.
The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) monitored 84 cases of detained Palestinian women and young girls during the first half of 2018.
PPS said in a report that Israeli forces continued to specifically target Palestinian women and young girls with detentions and high life sentences, not excluding minors, the elderly, or patients.
According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,900 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons, 60 of whom are female prisoners.

Israeli police, last night, conducted a large-scale campaign across occupied Jerusalem, in which they abducted seven Palestinians, WAFA correspondence said.
One of the detainees was identified as Hanadi Halawani, a well-known local activist who has been banned entry into Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on a number of occasions.
PNN further reports that the detainees were sent to detention and interrogation centers in the city
In addition to Jerusalemite activist and teacher Hanadi Halawani, a number of youth were taken.
One youth was also abducted from Hizma town, northeast of Jerusalem.
The raid comes with news of hundreds of settlers breaking into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque for the “Destruction of the Temple” Jewish holiday.
